We built a pair up to araya gold tubular rims and i could not belive how light this wheel set came out. We got a few new frames on the wall, Chunks got a new grupo, Nick and Paul spotted on the bike path, Nick and Mike in training mode, new Miche track hubs, Re Load bags and backpacks on the way, and a few other things of interest, that i will post soon.

My man Jordan Hufnagel, from Portland OR makes some nice stuff. He has a feature coming out in the new COG, and is an all around swell human. I saw his stuff at the NABS in Portland, and it really caught my eye. I decided to order myself up a track frame and fork this week, so im on the waiting list. My friend Sam, got hit on his bike a while ago heading to work. He got up, grabbed his bike from the pavement and leaned it against a tree. In this short time the driver had assessed what trouble he might be in and headed back full speed to the driver seat and sped for the hills. Leaving Sam, swearing in the street with the driver lone gone. His vintage road bike damaged, and himself a little scraped up. I have had lots of other friends this summer get hit by cars, bikes destroyed, wheels folded in half, and it sucks. Most people in a vehical  have never been the cyclist, and don’t have a very clear understanding as to what we should be doing as well as them selves. When drivers do decide to make a poor decision, that affects you, try to keep your cool. I have seen so many drivers move to the defense as soon as a cyclist has pulled up to their window to explain that they almost killed them. Just remember that some of the drivers would run your ass over in a split second. Im not saying don’t assert yourself, i am saying read the driver. Will they say sorry and learn from their mistake, or will they swerve at you the next light down. Some battles are worth it, and some people in the this world just don’t care. I think the majority of people in the city, have been so jaded on traffic and driving, that they honestly just don’t care any more. They are unaware of how serious a situation might of been, until it has happened and they are dealing with the reality that they just ran you over and killed you. Cycle on the defense always and keep they eyes on the road.
