The North American Handmade Bicycle Show, just graced Portland Oregon on the weekend, and it was amazing. The bike racks out side the show were just as eye catching. As people came out of the wood work and rode their most prized machines to the show. I met some great people and saw some new bike shit that blew me away. Here are just a few flicks for now. My man Jordan at HUFNAGEL is going to be the next dude with a 10 year waiting list…see yall soon T.

im thinking of building a wooden 6 spoke front wheel…you know. like the old wagon wheel ( not the ones you stuff in your face fattie ) but the ones the ol’ settlers rolled into the west on. Wrought iron and wood, it’s almost as catchy as  ‘denim and leathaaaah!’

Well , another day of snow. Odd, the velodrome shut down lastnight because of it, my bus to work was late as a result of it, my feet are soggy mucky messes……man why doesn’t snow hold the ‘magic’ it used to when i was a kid? now its just a piss off. grumble grumble… im old!

Sad news this week. Our on line bike mentor, Sheldon Brown, has passed away. At this time all we know is that it was health related and not anything to do with cycling.

he will be sorely missed. Everyone should get out on there bikes tonight even for just a few minutes and give it up to the wealth of information that was Sheldon.

Rest in  peace good sir.
