 Built for Vancouver’s Empire Games in 1954. This 250M velodrome near China Creek park must have ruled. This track is where Vancouver Community College now sits. Photo taken when tthe track was brand new in 1954. In 1980 when it was destroyed I was only 3 or 4 years old. Squeeze closed my eyes — time machine!

Well I was snooping some other blogs and came across this gem…yup. thats the burnaby velodrome (wrong!!! it’s in manchester apparantly) and yes that is one bloody mess (still valid).
